Pecan grove store was built in 1957 by LawrEnce segner across marschall creek from the segner 1800's homestead.
he built a sinclair service station, store & garage. He played the accordian and had weekend dances in the grove. he was also a well known german sausage maker.

Matt Martin the owner WAS born in texas, he grew up in the hill country, was an exchange student in fredericksburg's sister CITY montabaur, germany & a fredericksburg high school graduate. after returning home from college, Matt & his parents restored the store.
